In this policy, "Job Assyst" (also referred to as "we", "us" or "the Company") means Job Assyst and its platform at jobassyst.com. "Candidate" ("you") means any person who registers with, or engages, Job Assyst for placement support and consultancy services.
"Consultancy Services" means the services provided by Job Assyst, comprising resume preparation and presentation, interview preparation and briefing, mock assessments, profile management, and the identification, co-ordination and scheduling of interview opportunities with employers.
"Mock Assessment" means an evaluative interview conducted by Job Assyst to determine a candidate's readiness to be presented to employers. "Interview Cycle" has the meaning given in clause 6.
Job Assyst provides placement support and consultancy. Job Assyst is not an employer, and does not offer, promise or guarantee employment, an offer of employment, a minimum salary, a particular employer, or a particular role.
Consultancy Services are services of effort and access, not of outcome. What is undertaken is the preparation of the candidate and the co-ordination of genuine interview opportunities with employers and their authorised recruitment representatives. Whether an interview results in selection is determined by the employer alone, on its own criteria, and is outside the control of Job Assyst.
Consultancy fees vary by role specialisation, by seniority, by the level of consultancy engaged, and by the scope of support agreed. The fee payable by a candidate is that communicated to and accepted by that candidate at the time of engagement.
The Consultancy Fee is consideration for professional effort, employer engagement, co-ordination and the allocation of capacity to the candidate. It is not consideration for securing employment, and it is not contingent on the outcome of any interview.
The fee is earned and consumed progressively as the Consultancy Services are rendered, beginning from the commencement of the engagement. Taxes, payment gateway charges and third-party charges are non-refundable in all circumstances.
A candidate becomes eligible to be presented to employers only upon satisfying all of the following:
The Consultancy Fee is ordinarily invoiced after a candidate clears Mock Assessment, because clearance is the point at which a candidate can properly be presented to employers.
A candidate who has not cleared Mock Assessment may nevertheless request that Job Assyst proceed to present them to employers. Job Assyst may, at its sole discretion, accede to such a request.
Where a candidate elects to proceed without clearing Mock Assessment, that election is made at the candidate's own risk and on the candidate's own insistence. The Consultancy Fee in such a case is non-refundable in full, and no claim may thereafter be made that the candidate was inadequately prepared, wrongly presented, or that results were unsatisfactory.
Any such election, and the candidate's acceptance of its consequences, will be recorded in the candidate's file on the Job Assyst platform with a date and time stamp, at the time it is made. That contemporaneous record will be relied upon as evidence of the election having been made, and the candidate may show it to be incorrect.
Job Assyst's commitment under the Consultancy Fee is to arrange and co-ordinate an Interview Cycle of up to fifteen (15) interview opportunities with employers or their authorised recruitment representatives.
An interview counts towards the Interview Cycle when it has been arranged and communicated to the candidate, irrespective of whether the candidate attends it. An interview not attended by the candidate is treated as delivered by Job Assyst and consumed from the Cycle.
Completion of the Interview Cycle discharges Job Assyst's obligation under the Consultancy Fee in full, whether or not any interview has resulted in selection.
Where a candidate has completed the Interview Cycle without securing an offer, Job Assyst will ordinarily continue to support the candidate at no further charge, subject to the candidate first undertaking such further preparation, re-assessment or profile improvement as Job Assyst reasonably considers necessary to address the reasons for non-selection.
Continuation is conditional on the candidate's participation in that improvement, and on continued compliance with clause 7. Continuation does not create any fresh obligation, does not extend or renew the Interview Cycle, and does not give rise to any claim for refund.
A candidate shall:
Job Assyst may pause or deactivate a candidate's profile, and may suspend the arrangement of further interviews, where:
Upon any misconduct under clause 7, or upon the Interview Cycle threshold under clause 6 being reached without the quality and preparation terms of that clause being met, Job Assyst will pause the candidate's interview process. Where the circumstances warrant it, the candidate's account will additionally be deactivated.
A pause or deactivation on any of these grounds is a consequence of the candidate's own conduct or election, is not a withdrawal of service by Job Assyst, and does not give rise to any claim for refund or compensation.
A paused or deactivated profile may be reactivated at Job Assyst's discretion once the cause has been addressed and any further preparation required under clause 6 has been undertaken.
A candidate whose interview process has been paused, or whose account has been deactivated, and who wishes to resume or to seek any further support, must contact the team in writing from their registered email address at support@jobassyst.com or info@jobassyst.com. Requests made through any other channel may not be actioned.
The Consultancy Fee is non-refundable. It is consideration for professional services of preparation, employer engagement and co-ordination, which are rendered from the moment the engagement begins and are consumed as they are rendered. It is not consideration for an offer of employment, and no refund arises from the fact that employment was not secured.
For the avoidance of doubt, no refund is payable where:
Any request relating to fees must be made in writing, from the candidate's registered email address, to support@jobassyst.com, setting out the grounds relied upon. Requests are assessed within 5–7 business days of receipt of complete particulars.
Nothing in this policy prevents Job Assyst from offering, at its sole discretion and without admission of liability, a credit, an extension of services or a continuation of support, in a case it considers deserving. Any such offer is made as a gesture, is specific to that case, and does not create a precedent or an entitlement.
Job Assyst maintains a complete electronic record of its engagement with each candidate on the Job Assyst platform, including attendance, mock assessment outcomes, counselling notes, interviews arranged and their outcomes, and communications — each recorded with a date and time stamp. These records are relied upon by Job Assyst in the ordinary course of business and may be produced in any proceeding.
A candidate who makes a complaint or allegation is asked to support it with particulars — dates, names, and any correspondence or other material relied upon. Interviews are arranged through the official correspondence of the employer or its authorised representative, and a candidate will ordinarily hold that correspondence. Particulars enable an allegation to be investigated properly, and Job Assyst undertakes to investigate any allegation so supported and to report its findings.
Job Assyst takes seriously any complaint concerning the conduct of its employees or the authenticity of an interview, and will investigate such a complaint on its merits. Equally, Job Assyst reserves all rights and remedies available to it in law in respect of statements made about it that are false and that cause damage to its reputation or business. Nothing in this clause restricts a candidate from raising a genuine complaint, from approaching any consumer or regulatory authority, or from exercising any statutory right.
A candidate with a grievance should raise it in writing, from their registered email address, to info@jobassyst.com, setting out the particulars of the grievance. Grievances are acknowledged promptly and a substantive response is ordinarily issued within seven (7) business days of receipt of complete particulars.
Grievances not resolved to the candidate's satisfaction may be escalated in writing to the Grievance Officer, who will review the matter afresh:

A grievance is acknowledged within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt, and is resolved within one (1) month of receipt, or such shorter period as may be prescribed by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Job Assyst's total liability arising out of or in connection with the Consultancy Services, whether in contract, tort, statute or otherwise, shall not exceed the Consultancy Fee actually paid by the candidate.
Job Assyst shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of employment, loss of earnings, salary or increment, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from a decision taken by an employer, a delay by an employer, or the withdrawal by an employer of a role or requirement.
Nothing in this clause limits or excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Job Assyst shall not be in breach of this policy, nor liable for any delay or failure in performing its obligations, where the delay or failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances include natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, war or civil unrest, strike or industrial action, act of government or of any regulatory authority, failure of telecommunications, internet or platform infrastructure, and the suspension of hiring, freezing of requirements or withdrawal of roles by employers.
Where such circumstances persist, Job Assyst may suspend performance for their duration and will resume as soon as reasonably practicable. The Interview Cycle is extended, not reduced, by any such suspension. A suspension on this ground does not give rise to a claim for refund.
Acceptance. A candidate accepts this policy by engaging Job Assyst's Consultancy Services. Where acceptance is recorded electronically, the record of that acceptance — including the version of this policy accepted and the date and time of acceptance — is retained on the Job Assyst platform.
Entire agreement. This policy constitutes the entire agreement between Job Assyst and the candidate in respect of placement support, consultancy and refunds, and supersedes any prior oral or written representation.
Notices. Notices and requests under this policy must be in writing and sent from the candidate's registered email address to the addresses given in clauses 8.2 and 11. Job Assyst may give notice to the candidate at the email address or mobile number registered on their profile.
Business days. A business day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Survival. Clauses 9, 10, 12 and 14 survive the completion, pausing, deactivation or termination of a candidate's engagement.
Waiver. A failure or delay by Job Assyst in enforcing any provision of this policy is not a waiver of that provision or of any other, and does not prevent its later enforcement.
Amendment. Job Assyst may amend this policy from time to time. The version in force at the date of a candidate's engagement governs that engagement. The current version and its effective date are stated at the head of this page.
Severability. If any provision of this policy is held to be unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
Governing law and jurisdiction. This policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to the statutory rights of a consumer to approach the appropriate consumer forum, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have jurisdiction.
Statutory rights. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or limits any right or remedy available to a candidate as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable law, and this policy is to be read consistently with those rights.
Questions about this policy may be addressed to info@jobassyst.com.
